Position: Microbiologist
Location: Perungudi, Chennai
Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years
Qualification: M.Sc in Microbiology or related Life Science discipline
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct microbiological analysis of food, water, environmental samples.
Perform routine testing including TVC, coliforms, pathogens, and sterility tests as per regulatory standards
Handle and maintain laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, LAFs, and pH meters
Ensure strict adherence to SOPS, ISO/IEC 17025, NABL, and related quality guidelines
Document and maintain records, results, and observations as per audit and compliance norms
Maintain pure cultures and carry out media preparation, sterilization, and validation
Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a microbiology testing laboratory
Good understanding of ISO 17025, ISO 11133, and microbiological quality control practices
Proficiency in documentation, media preparation, microbial identification, and plate handling
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under GMP conditions
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in water, food, pharma, or environmental microbiology
Familiarity with NABL audits and internal quality control (IQC) practices
Knowledge of media validation and microbial enumeration techniques
