Positions available for Senior Research Scientist, Research Associate I, Research Scientist, Postdoctoral Associate, Research Fellow, Administrative Consultant, and Data Manager in the Structural Parasitology Group at ICGEB, New Delhi.

1. Investigator: Amit Sharma

2. Fellowship and Duration:

   Fellowship as per the norms of funding agencies. Initially, the positions are available for three months and can be further extended based on the performance of the candidates.

3. Educational Qualifications and Job Descriptions:

   1. Senior Research Scientist (No. of positions-1):

   • PhD with extensive laboratory experience and an exceptional publication record who will oversee the entire project, entailing both genomics, immunology and virology themes.

   • The candidate needs to have expertise in virology (dengue and Zika), immunology, NGS, data analysis and staff management.

   • The candidate will also be responsible for working with the clinical sites and integrating all the data into the biorepository management system.

   2. Research Associate I (No. of positions-1):

   • A PhD in Biological or Chemical Sciences/ Life Sciences is essential.

   • 0-to-1-year postdoctoral experience in the relevant field with at least one research paper in a SCI journal & laboratory experience is desirable.

   3. Research Scientist (No. of positions-2):

   • A PhD with relevant experience and a high-quality publication record in virology, immunology and NGS is required.

   • The proposed project will require the processing, sequencing, and analysis of a large number of clinical samples to study viruses.

   4. Postdoctoral Associate (No. of positions-1):

   • A PhD with experience in immunology and virology is required.

   • Experience in NGS is desirable.

   5. Research Fellow (No. of positions-1):

   • A Masters with experience in immunology and virology is required.

   • Experience in NGS is desirable.

   6. Administrative Consultant (No. of positions-1):

   • Essential qualificationundergraduate in life Sciences.

   • Experience in scientific research operations and managing complex logistics to ensure compliance with project deadlines.

   7. Data Manager (No. of positions-1):

   • Essential qualification- undergraduate in life Sciences.

   • Experience in the collection and analysis of a large number of clinical samples for whole-genome sequencing and immunology.

   • The position will maintain data integrity, facilitate efficient data analysis, and ensure compliance with data-sharing regulations.
