The selected candidate will be tasked with developing, refining, and implementing purification strategies at both laboratory and pilot scales to meet preclinical and early-stage production requirements.

Job Summary
7. Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize downstream purification processes for recombinant proteins and peptides.
Work with inclusion body solubilization, refolding strategies, and purification from soluble fractions.
Execute purification techniques including affinity chromatography, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size exclusion, etc.
Perform analytical methods including SDS-PAGE, Western blot, HPLC, UV spectroscopy, to assess product purity and integrity.
Scale-up of purification protocols from bench to pilot scale.
Collaborate with upstream, analytical, and formulation teams.
Maintain detailed experimental records and prepare technical reports.
Ensure compliance with lab safety and quality procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications : M.Sc./M.Tech/Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience in purification of recombinant proteins/peptides from E. coli and yeast.
Sound knowledge of buffer systems, chromatography techniques, and protein chemistry.
Experience in downstream process development and optimization.
Familiarity with AKTA or equivalent chromatography systems is a must.
Ability to troubleshoot purification challenges independently.
Good documentation, communication, and data interpretation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a regulated environment (GLP/GMP) is a plus.
Exposure to pilot-scale operations and tech transfer processes.
